What are the top tier academic journals?

Hi all, I think the Student Lounge is probably the most appropriate place to field this question....

What are the top-tier (peer-reviewed) academic journals in the planning field? I imagine there must be a lot of subspecialities....I would like to know the top general journals, as well as any that might relate to the speciality area of low to medium-density residential planning.

    Thanks! G

Fannie Mae Foundation has a great housing journal, just go to its website and browse around for it.

Journal of the American Planning Association (JAPA) and Journal of Planning and Education Research (JPER).

There are other good ones also, and more topic specific concentrated ones for certain subjects, but these two are largely considered the top general planning journals.
