People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

    Happy Birthday!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011

I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

The ends can justify the means.

And a very happy birthday wish is being sent to Gedunkitect and Markidunker.

Wait a sec.....did I screw that up? Try again, Bear.....

And a "pair" of very happy birthday "wishes" being sent to Gedunkitect and Markidunker.

    Have a great day.

Hey Markitect -- great day for a b'day eh? Have a great one.

Thanks all for the best wishes, but alas no three-day weekend here. Not only am I working my birthday, but I've got a council meeting tonight that promises to be a doozy. Yahoo!

At least my birthday email didn't bounce and result in suspension

    Happy b-day guys!

And for my fellow BSU alum -

    Happy b-day to you both.

I decided to float a birthday cake down the Ohio to Gedunker earlier today but it got no further than a mile downstream when it collided with a barge laden with fuel oil. And with 46 lit candles on that floating cake... Well, needless to say there were no survivors.

Da Dunker -- Happy Birthday from your fellow Southern Indiana expat Jersey Boy.
    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
    From Kelly's Heroes (1970)

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.
