I don't hide my nudity from my boys, THEY are uncomfortable seeing me without clothes. I walk around my bedroom naked all the time, if they are in there or walk by the door they have a reaction. I never taught them anything about nudity, I never made an issue of it or anything. They learned on their own what it is and that it is not "proper" to see women (well especially mom, I guess....) naked. If I had two girls I would have done exactly as I do now.

To this day, I am bad about not entirely closing the bathroom door when I use the toilet. The same son who bathed with me when he was a toddler and who was a nudist for about a year when he was preschool age hit puberty and suddenly discovered the importance of PRIVACY. Like your sons, my sons let me know when it was no longer ok in their minds for mom to be naked around them. I had no hangups about such things when they were little and I basically respected their "rules" (boundaries) on the matter. In short: Kids have minds of their own. They aren't simply robots, programmed by their parents.

Thank you, I couldnt have said it any better.
I do tell them to get out of my room if they don't like it (its MY room!!)...but I guess I should close the door
my boys both bathed with me when they were younger as well and Sammy runs around naked all the time, but its not alright for mom
Anyway, you said it better than I could have, thank you.

Then I suggest you not ever visit Germany. I only do that around family but discovered in Germany that most Germans are a lot more...er...liberal about such things. I usually push the door mostly closed. My landlady went to the toilet with me there in full view without making any effort at all to close the door.

Well, I imagine it would be way different if they grew up in a culture where women went topless or were seen naked on a daily basis. But if mom is the only woman they see naked, they're gonna know that something's off there. Even if they don't know how to articulate it.

I discovered after the -ex and I separated, and my son was only 3 that he was being shown pics of naked women on the internet. He was way too young to process it. So i have always been extremely careful about nudity in our house.

The pubic region is defined as the area covered by hair with the organs also explicitly stated, which means a girl with a brazil wax could presumably go much more bare than a natural girl without being illegal, and theoretically one could be guilty of indecent exposure even with a proper bathing suit if one's hair is particularly unruly. I think the idea of "area covered by hair" is pretty arbitrary.
I wish I could find teh picture of the crazy guy from arizona that was making the cycling rounds a few years ago, especially when he met an untimely death. He would have fit right in in Chicago.

Umm, yah. Probably tmi, but the only time I don't wear a bra is when I am sleeping, so definately no topless activity for me. Having a larger chest makes even simple things uncomfortable without containment.

And I agree with others in this thread that have said they don't want to see ANYONE, male or female, topless out in public unless it was at a beach or something.

Funny story, my daughter is starting to learn about the difference in our bodies and makes it a point to yell BOOBIES and pokes me in the chest. The other day while in a long line at the grocery store she pulled down the front of my shirt and asked (quite loudly, I might add) "mommy, where are your boobies?" That was fantastic!

Ha ha, aren't kid comments the best?? Anytime my youngest and I are in a store and walk past the lingerie department, Sammy yells out "Look ma, boob holders!!" always gets a laugh from whoever is near us and a bright red face from mom....

    From the AP Wire:

WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) -- A lunchtime parade of topless porn stars down the main street of New Zealand's biggest city has been given official approval.

The parade later this month will feature up to 30 porn stars riding on the back of motorcycles or in open cars through Auckland's CBD to promote an erotica exposition.

The bare breast drive has been held informally since 2003, but this is the first time permission has been sought, and given, by Auckland City Council.

Organizer Steve Crow said it would promote an Erotica Expo which opens in the city Aug 25.

Several city councilors opposed to the parade were surprised to find it had been given a green light without them being consulted. They learned of the approval from a council memo from events and promotions manager Annabel Lushthat who noted that it was not against the law to go topless on the city's Queen Street.

They also were told police had approved the parade and would be in attendance to ensure road safety.

Councilor Noelene Raffills said the parade would be too distracting for a central shopping district during the busy noontime.

"It is not like a television set you can turn off or a book you can shut," Raffills was reported telling The New Zealand Herald newspaper Tuesday.

Sure, why not. As long as they aren't breastfeeding
