Schools with MA in Urban Planning with Concentrarion in Urban Design

I am a junior right now, getting my BA in Geography with a concetration in Metropoltain Planning and Development. For my Master's I would like something that focuses more on Urban Design so to speak. So far i found that University of Michigan has a duel degree in both categories. Do you guys know of any other schools that offer that? Then again what is urban design exactly? I just want to make sure that i know wat it is. Is a concetration in physical planning the same as urban design?

I am looking into the University of Washington's MURP w/ Design Emphasis. Check them out.

Hey Lucifer... ummm....could I make a deal with you to get me into grad school?
You get all squeezed up inside/Like the days were carved in stone/You get all wired up inside/And it's bad to be alone

You can go out, you can take a ride/And when you get out on your own/You get all smoothed out inside/And it's good to be alone

Good suggestion. I also looked at UW for grad school and liked it. I didn't end up going there, but heard that the emphasis on urban design was strong.

You might want to look at the University of Cincinnati's Master of Community Planning program. One of the five specializations offered is urban design.

    Good luck with your search!
