2006 South Division Trash Talk Thread

This has been the most lethargic draft in CFFL history! It must be the heat.

Tell me about it. We may be through round 6 by opening day. Still though, I can't believe that I ended up with Tomlinson and Alexander. Of course, that makes up for me designating Foster (expected to retire) as a keeper.

It is kind of silly that we are still in the 3rd round and the North thread is in the 5th. Yikes.

You guys better cut your pick time down to like 3 hrs.for your next round. We are going to 4 hrs/pick next round.

Not that I disagree, but at least no one has drafted Barlow yet, or a running back for the broncos who mightnot even start, or a WR who is holding out and said that he will hold out as long as possible (although picking Bush number 1 in our draft was a little out there)

If your husband steals another player of mine, I'm coming down to N.O. "talk" about it.

Barlow was traded to the Jets to be the #1 RB... Yeah, Branch was a reach, but Barlow was a good pick. Not in round... what are you guys at... two?

No doubt, I am scared that we will not finish the draft by the time the season starts.

We may want to drop the clock even further (3 hours or something) so that we can complete this thing.

Just a note - We have to be done with the draft and have rosters entered on Yahoo by September 9 or we will not have any scoring in week 1.

Lets go people....lets pick up the pace! Send picks to Giff, Mastiff or I and we can make them for you if you know you won't be around...

Yeah, we need to lower the time limit. We should make it a goal to get through a round per day. I say a 2 hour clock. It isn't like anyone is going to draft some known super star at this point. It is all just speculation that player x is going to have a good year and get a lot of touches, so if you go viking, you can pick someone up after the fact who will probably do you just as good as a dozen other players at the same position. (although there are still a few players on my list that I want to draft)

    He he he....

Sorry to dissapoint you all in this thread this year, what with my not picking third string looser quarterbacks and 39 year old soon to retire running backs and all..... I'll do my best to make at least one disturbing pick....maybe from an Australian Football league or something like that

Given our later start than usual, I thought we should have started the draft with a 2-4 hour clock.

Can we double up on the rounds and make 2 picks simultaneously?

OMG, my heart skipped a beat. I'm on the bottom of the picking chart, i'll have nothing to pick from.

Planderella, I agree with Dragon. Picking two at a time would be great for all of you at the top of the list but su@k for us at the bottom. That is why shortening the time frame to 1 - 2 hours per pick would be a better solution, IMHO.

Yeah, I know, but this draft needs to really get moving.

Well, call a live conference with you guys down in N.O. to finish it up. We can hit the town afterward. I'm only an hour up the road.

Why Mastiff, I think they are drafting for the Arena football league that begins in Spring.

Are we leaving the last week open for the Cyburbia super bowl? If not we could go by the point totals for the winners in the last week for the ultimate CFFL bragging rights.

We will be ready for week one even if I have to do a simulated auto pick for the last few rounds.......

I had assumed so, and that the 3 co-commissioners would score it like we did last year.

N.O. traded Stallworth Cololi . How does that make BEK and Planderella feel? I thought he was going to have a great year. I guess he will have a great year with the Eagles
