    Sewage lagoon ordinances

    Good Planners,

A rural township is faced with the prospect of being home to a series of sewage treatment lagoons belonging to neighboring cities that are looking to connect their municipal sewer systems. Though the township lies in between the cities, the township would not be a part of the sewer system.

The township would like to add language to their ordinance regulating the lagoons as a special land use.

I would certainly appreciate the sharing of your expertise in this matter and any language examples from your ordinance if you've experienced something like this before.

    Thanks in advance!

Rural townships deserve to have all of the feces from urban communities because they have a low population count and people will simply think the oder is coming from manure.
