I don't get it - recreating a scene from Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2
Yes, I searched the internet to find this back story on Wikipedia:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silent_...y_Night_Part_2
    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
    From Kelly's Heroes (1970)

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.
    From Electric Horseman (1979)

Living in Illinois and knowing it's campaign season, his opponent provided "blips" on the important parts in her commercials.

The unfortunate thing is I do not feel comfortable with either candidate.

Those 1970's commercials Dan started the thread with were illuminating but a bit before my time.

In a similar vein, but a few years later - here's a 1982 Atari spot for Pole Position: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Om84Zc4-KcQ

As the except says, the term "Garbage Day!" has gained a cult following of sorts. There are some (totally wacked I agree) that think that scene is the best scene in film history.

I wouldn't go that far but still think it's funny as Hell.

Dead-on SNL parody of a 1980s exercise video, right down to the bad VHS tracking.
