I have been trying....for weeks now...to load our wedding video...onto YouTube...and link it to our blog. The file size is less the maximum allowed. No success. I am so frustrated. I give up.

I am sooo not a techno nerd.

^ Ah yes, the infamous "Goldie Gardner". I happen to know her real name, My family was the member of the Buffalo Orienteering Club and her husband was a member (she may of been as well).

    Picnic

This Bear was thinking about next weekend.....Labor Day, 2008.....and my embedded-with-classic-movies cranial tentatcles latched onto thoughts about my usual activity on that weekend.....watching that great class flick, "Picnic".

William Holden and Kim Novak are wonderful in the movie, using a Labor Day picnic as the glue that holds the love story together. Their dance in the movie, as they realize their attraction for each other, is wonderful. I had to see if I could find it on YouTube.

    I did. Enjoy.

    Bad News

Wasn't exactly sure where to place this video. It deals with our economic climate, budget cuts, and in its' own way focuses on those that are affected when the downturn leads to a lay-off. Without a good feel for where it should be place, this Bear added the vid to the Cyburbian YouTube collection.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

    Interviewee faints

From our local TV station this morning. (BTW, the woman co-anchor in the light blue suit is Bree. She's hot and has interviewed me a couple of times. Alas, too young for my old bones.)

Wow. You gotta feel a little bad for her.

You're talking about Bree for having to interview RJ more than once, aren't you?

Yeah, poor thing; named after a town in Lord of the Rings.

One morning recently when she took over the morning news, RJ walked out of the shower into the bedroom where I was watching the news and yelled at the t.v. "look, Bree, I'm nude!".

This was picked up by ABC news. I like their commentary on the bozo who just stood there when the woman fainted. The bozo is the tourist development director over on the beach side.

    Nostalgiac stuff, huh?
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor
