I am sure as urban planners you all know how urbanized our planet is becoming. Today in my geography class we learned how fast it is increasing, and how in 20-30 years about 85% of the population of the world will live in urban areas. Now the question is, will this cause urban planning to grow? Will it become an indemand field?
I think if that is the case it will be very indemand, and I think people planning to make a career in urban planning will have an easier time finding a job. Most people don't really even know what urban planning really is. There are a lot of people that when you mention urban planning they will ask you what that is. So obviously it is not the most popular major for most people.
