    Journey to Japan

    A good friend of mine is currently spending his vacation in Japan. I thought I'd share some of the pictures he has sent me of his travels so far...

    It was in Japan where I first found beer and grilled ham and cheese sandwiches in vending machines... often in the same vending machines.

    Japan truly had some weird stuff. The strangest everyday object turned creep that I ever saw was a set of urinals in a bar Kobe designed to look like a bunch of anime school girls in various poses and states of undress.

    If that doesn't set off one's 'ethnocentrism alarm' then nothing will.

    Japan has one vending machine for every 23 people. I've been on mountain roads with no lights and seen Coca Cola vending machines. And some of them scream at you. Horrible.
