ROCKIES/Padres one game "play-in" tonight. Who knew?

What happened to the Mets? They had a melt down worthy of the Cubs. With that said, what are the predictions? I see the Cubs vs the Red Sox in the series.

Especially since the Broncos forgot how to tackle this season....

    At least a Rox/Cubs NLCS.

I'd love to see Cubs v. Sox in the series....

I have a sneaky suspicion that Cleveland v. Philadelphia may ultimately be the matchup.

Congrats Zman-The Rox made it. Strange year in baseball. Several spectacular collapses, the Cubs stumbling in. Should make for an interesting LCS and World Series.

My beloved Braves faltered again this year, but at least I was able to watch the Mets implode and miss the playoffs as well.

Heck of a game last night - do the Rockies have anything left for the divisional series?

    Only this:

    Record setting fielding percentage.
Lowest ERA in the Majors since the All Star Break.
Lowest (or one of the..) lowest error totals in the in League.
    Batting Champ Matt Holliday
    Resurgence of Todd Helton.
    17 Game winner Jeff Francis
Gumption, confidence and a hot streak.

Oh, now also tied for the most number of wins in the NL.

The Rocks are the greatest team you've never heard of. It's time for RESPECT!

They only used 9 pitchers, whats to worry about?

Watching the Mets cr@p the bed was great. Granted I have no love for the Phils but anything is better than the Mets.

Bubba are you and Planitgoing to join me on the Rockies bandwagon?

Speaking for myself - NO! I'll root against the Yankees, and keep an eye out for how the Cubbies are going to manage to blow it this year, but baseball is pretty much dead to me until spring.

I am with you on rooting against the Yankees but any team that was willing to let Dale Murphy try for 400 home runs will have my support in the playoffs, unless of course they face the Bravos then they must be destroyed!

Can't fully jump on that bandwagon but I do like to cheer for the underdog. I looking at the Cubbies right now far a team to cheer through postseason (for a while).

Great game last night, several defensive miscues from the outfield.

    Cleveland will take New York in 3 games;

    Red Sox will take Angels in 4 games;

Red Sox will take Cubs in World Series in 6 games

Of course all is wishful thinking!

It's official, the Braves wil not attempt to resign Andruw Jones...and you know, that really doesn't bother me.

Oh, I agree. $20 mil/year for seven years for a strikeout prone .220 hitter with diminishing defensive skills? Scott Boras is da debil.

Oh, and one of the NYC papers is reporting that Glavine will either sign with the Braves or retire...no more Mets.

Who to root for Rockies or Phillies ?
    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

I couldn't be happier. His attitude was what bothered me...very unbraveque.
I heard rumors that Coco Crisp or Torii Hunter could be the replacement. I could live with a Diaz/B Jones in LF, Willie Harris in CF and Francouer in RF.

I wonder if he would take a home town discount. A rotation of Smoltz, Hudson, Glavine, Hampton and whoever sounds like a winner assuming Hampton can stay healthy, and Hudson pitches like he did this year.

A "Bleacher Bum" catches a home run ball from the opposing team and throws back onto the field...only to hit Soriano in the back of the head, knocking him out of the rest of the playoffs (BTW-Soriano was hitting .557 at that point in the playoffs).

Postseason has begun, first pitch was a foul ball.
