    Online MUP Degree

Does anyone know if such a thing exists. I recently graduated with a BS in Urban Planning, and I know I need my masters to even be a canadate for a job in this field. I've looked at the major online schools, but I was wondering if anyone had some insider information.

    Thanks

I can tell you that the snag you will commonly encounter in online Masters in Planning is any studio requirements. I think Iowa State has something where you can do about 90% of the coursework online, but would have to report to the campus for studio courses. I haven't looked at the Ohio State link mentioned by nrschmid though.

If you are in a pinch where you absolutely cannot relocate for a planning masters, then you might consider a masters in public administration--those programs are more common online and better adapted for no classroom time.

BTW, a BS with intern experience oughta get you an entry level position without too much trouble... you might even find a job that offers tuition reimbursement. I would suggest exploring this option as well.

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

Wow Ohio State is progressive with this program. I may take back all the nasty things I said about that state and their darn speeding ticket capital.
I have a BS with a 6 month internship and 3 years with a community planning group and I get turned down for more entry level jobs that I care to mention.
