Good find.
Wonder if there are other university websites like it ?

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

no, you're not. the real estate development courses are an excellent resource.
It gets recommended regularly on a homeschooling list I am on. It is also listed on my homeschooling website, just below a link that has the name "Cornell" in the title: http://xxx.lanl.gov/
I've been looking through the planning courses today: http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Urban-Stud...ning/index.htm

I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?
Can you give us a sketch of how it works?
Are the associated readings from the syllabus available somewhere?
What's in the downloads?
1. You are a Super Dork, but that's ok.....you are in some decent company here at Cyburbia![]()
2. GREAT FIND and thanks for sharing it.....![]()
3. About 2/3 of those classes are what I would expect to see at an Ivy League School.....![]()
4. The other 1/3 look like great topics that could help us out a lot here in the "real" world![]()

I think all public Universities should be doing this as a free service. Impressive that such an upper crust private school is doing this for FREE![]()

Thanks for sharing, I needed extra help in a class and this site appears to have what I need
Too lazy to beat myself up for being to lazy to beat myself up for being too lazy to... well you get the point....
No, you're not. I've been scanning it for quite a while, now.
"If you love something, let it go."
What kind of crap is that?
Dang.... Ah, yea you’re a super dork... only because you found it before me!

Thats nice....I needed notes for my statics class.
MIT offers online classes for free. You don't get course credit or earn a degree, but you can browse the assignments, lectures, quizes, exams, and other materials. There are tons of undergraduate and graduate planning courses.
I browesed one course and looked at an excellent power point presentation on urbanization. MIT has one of the oldest and largest urban studies and planning departments in the US. Instead of your employer paying for a few days at a conference and hours even days of missed work, the MIT classes could be more comprehensive and inexspensive avenue for further education.
Have a Great Day!

I must be the biggest dork with that earlier post. But now I can take MIT classes.
Oooo this does look interesting. I'm a UK student so not all of it will be relevant but I'm sure a lot of it will still be applicable!
I turned two of these courses into directed readings when I couldn't get the class I wanted here. MIT-quality education, Midwestern prices. ;D
i discovered it like 4 months ago and whenever i'm bored or whatnot i look up some of the books and projects students have done....i love the fact its free. really breaking down some education barriers...
That's an awesome resource!
To pebkac: so you mean you earned credit from your school for doing an independent study on some of these courses?
No, you're not alone. I've been browsing OpenCourseWare periodically for the past academic year. It really is a great resource, especially for the price (free). All my friends already think I'm a super dork but that's probably because I send them links to academic journals and talk about planning all the time when they could care less. Whatever, it makes me happy.![]()
