Post your Favorite Holiday Image - 2006

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Chez RJ.

    Anything tackier than that? hahaha....

    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
    From Kelly's Heroes (1970)

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

Tacky? You think my holiday decoration is tacky? That is the intent.
You actually think I was going to take it down after the holidays? Nope, this is too good.

    Eating brownie cheesecake for dessert...yummy.

Here is an image of our house's holiday decorations last year. I'm very proud of it. It always takes alot of work to set it all up but afterwards I feel good knowing that people who drive by get a litttle reminder that Jesus is the reason for the season. The only problem last year was that two of the three Wise Men were broken in the nativity scene, so I substituted in three snowmen instead. I don't think folks really noticed.

Edit: Oh, I didn't realize we were looking for tacky holiday displays. Please withdraw my application.

People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

Is this the "support your local utility company" thread? Maister's display must light up the entire neighborhood!

Oh, our December electric bill rarely goes much higher than $700.

Ummm, Maister, that was two years ago. Last year you added the neon Santa with all 9 reindeer on he roof. (includes Rudolph and his 1,000,000 watt halogen nose that you could see from Mars.)

No, you're the one who is confused. You're actually thinking of the display from 3 years ago. Two years ago I had the animatronic Baby Jesus in the candy cane fight with the animatronic reindeer.

Taking RJ shopping is usually not a good thing, unless we're going to Publix. But when he saw that palm tree....

I'm just wondering if he'll use the coupon he got, and go back for the matching holographic flamingo......

I'm suprised you didn't drive out there to give him a ticket for some violation. (Notice no smile)
