    Telecommuter space

In providing office/telecommuter space, does anyone have a or know of a standard square footage per telecommuter? i.e., How many telecommuters does 1000 sq. ft. serve, 5000 sq. ft. etc....?

    thanks

    ???

Isn't the idea of telecommuting that people work from home? At least most of the time?

I'd be curious to know what percentage of their work force are expected to come into the office, whether that would be on different days, or if everyone was going to be there on the same day(s) of the week.

I also tend to hesitate about basing parking on a specific use or user. I have seen these uses change pretty soon after construction, and was once burned by having reduced parking, only to see the business leave in a year, and then have a site with too few stalls for other users.

cardinal, i am interested in those specific "telecommuter" centers--ie places people can come locally, away from home, that offers docking, computers, and other admin.

They are close to home, but not the basement.

they exist. i just don't know much about them.

Ahhh... Now I get it. Telework centers is what I have heard them called. I beleive Missouri was promoting them as an economic development tool some time ago.
