    A liberal's world - Article

Found in the letters to the editor in my local newpaper.

Michaelski's, I must ask. Did you write this?

Recently, some liberal friends met at a liberal's house. We all felt so happy. We know that everything will be wonderful now, and that cons and neo-cons will see the error of their ways and be converts instead of conservatives.
After a dinner of vegetarian, organic whole foods and some conversation about French movies, we all went out to a fire. Someone started to sing "Kumbaya" and we all joined in. Some of the men cried openly.

Later we talked about what national health care would be like.

As we left, we hugged, as liberals often do. Some drove off in a Prius. Our seat belts were fastened.
Dude, I'm cheesing so hard right now.

I think it's both clever and funny. Good satire!
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

No… but I am sure that they were talking about a party at the Maister Household.

If I had, I would have mentioned that the liberals house was covered with solar panels had a signed copy of Al Gores “An Inconvenient Truth” next to the DVD player, and a photo of Saint Hillary in the entryway.

The front yard would be full of anti-war protest and “Impeach Bush” signs along with a large rainbow flag, even knowing that none of the occupants are gay.

In all seriousness, I have no problems with liberals. I do not take political differences personally, and think that when it comes down to the basic ideas of society, the two sides don’t differ all that much. We just differ in which route would be the best way.

My folks have a picture of Hillary in their house (taken with my grandparents at a conference in Denver)

Well, that pretty much sums up my life. Don't forget the wine and cheese parties. (Soy cheese of course, with gluten-free crackers). I, of course, am sucrupulously saving money so that I can move to Boulder as well. But I may fast track this plan by inventing a "pea-soup green" colored health drink, or some sort of cheap footwear made out of recycled SUV-grade motor oil.
You get all squeezed up inside/Like the days were carved in stone/You get all wired up inside/And it's bad to be alone

You can go out, you can take a ride/And when you get out on your own/You get all smoothed out inside/And it's good to be alone

cheap footwear??? NO NO my liberal friend… you need hand crafted Birkenstocks or in your case, some type of wood/cork foot bed with an all natural wool cover slip on.

And ALL of the food in the house *MUST* come from the nearest Whole Foods™ store, no matter how many hours one must drive the Volvo SUV one-way from its boculic location in the remote foothills to get it all.

Well, that's what I would wear of course. But in the form of Merill Hiking Clogs.
But I have to market something that the Suburbanites will go GAGA for. Gotta make that money.

God, I hate elitist Liberals like these. I see them all the time at Whole Foods with my very eyes, they park too close to my Toyota truck that I drove from my sprawling house in the praries.

Real liberals don't shop at Whole Foods. They grow their own veggies and transport them in hand-woven burlap bags.
