    Hello everyone!

My name is Yuri, and I immigrated from the USSR to Ontario when I was 4 years old. I am now 19. My family has a long standing history of working within architecture, construction, and overall urban development. My father was the first one to break the tradition, and went into video production.. but here I am, going right back into it

I applied and was accepted to 3 different Universities last year, (University of Western Ontario, Waterloo and McMaster). Unfortunately, I relocated to a different city, and didn't end up going.

Now I am re-applying to a few different programs, Waterloo again, and most likely Ryerson and York. From what I see, these are primarily American forums, but maybe someone can give a few recommendations either way.

I have been looking at this career for a couple of years, but I still have a few uncertainties.. so I will be harassing you all with questions for the next little while

    Thanks!

    Hello, from Irving, TX!

Good luck with school admissions! It will all work out in the end, so don't sweat the small stuff.
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

So, does your family have any experience with deskfort building?

    I'm a pro.
