Hello from north of you in Irving, TX!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011

Welcome from the Florida panhandle. Watch your step, there's a Bear in these woods.

Also, The One is about 100 years old.

Welcome from the SW corner of the Hoosier State.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

    Welcome aboard

I've thought about rehabbing some older buildings myself. Someday..............

I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

Welcome from another member of the Central Texas contingent!

You'll find a lot of us on here with an interest in older buildings...

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

You ARE rehabbing an older building (remember, I've been to your house!!). And having two dogs dig you a lap pool, to boot!

    Welcome from SW Michigan!

And before we go jumping to conclusions about how 'cool' Bears are let me remind you of what they are best known for doing in the woods!
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

I plan to be there in about 2 years. I've got a friend who is restoring/renovating/etc... a downtown building and his standard line is that he will be done "a year from today". He's been saying this for over a year now.

    Welcome to the site.
