    2007 New Year's resolutions

    lose 10 lbs
    go to church more
    enjoy life more
    get out of debt

Pretty cliche, but what the hell I predict the whole list is forgotten by March

I'm with you right there, but I'll add "study harder" to the list too!

Get down to 165 lbs. Need to shed just over nine pounds.
Make another run to California this summer when it's sweltering hot here.
Invite the boys for a visit here--when it's sweltering hot--and take 'em fishing out in the Gulf.

Shed 30 pounds. I am down 16 from September and holding steady.
Buy a bicycle so that I can ride the 5 mile loop around the campus I live on for exercise.
Go swimming 2-3 times a week.
Sell my house in this craptacular real estate market.
Do well in my new job and learn a lot from my mentor.

I dont want to lose any weight- but i want to 'tone' up and get fit- so i want to be inspired to keep going to the pool and to start running again.

To be a happier person- I need to do things that will make the happy person i am inside shine.

Chill out, take a breath and not stress and worry too much.

Go away to Europe, even if it is against my parents wills!

    Smile more!

    Hold weight near constant (175-180lbs)

Get fit. I only rode my bikes for a total less than 750km this year. A typical year is 2500-3000 and a good year is 4000.

    Do better at school

Not so concerned with saving money, but want to pay off more "stupid debt". I don't see my student loan that I am embarking on as stupid debt.

Be a more active member in my Condo building, Neighborhood Association, and community.

-Get rid of Cable TV (well, maybe I should quit watching, I doubt we'll be able to "rid" ourselves...).
    -Begin my masters program
-Get hitched without debt (good call, Skis!)
-Live Simple, focus more on my reading, my painting, and my cooking. Also my family. Reduce distractions.
-Do a brick patio for garden level (and put a meat smoker in said location)
-Learn to cook one new thing a month

You can go out, you can take a ride/And when you get out on your own/You get all smoothed out inside/And it's good to be alone

    Crochet more
    Nag my hubby less
Redo the floor in the master bath
    Put in some landscaping
    Get another dog
    Get rid of some debt
    Meet my neighbors

On the redo the floor part - anyone have some suggestions for good books on removing vinyl/linoleum and putting in tile? You know - Redoing Bathroom Floors for Dummies - level stuff? My hubby and I want to do it ourselves, but we haven't done it ourselves before.

My goal in 2007 is to get at least one gal pregnant. It's all about spreading jeans.

But with the shallow people around here, I'll need to get a pick up and a pair of boots first. It's not about who you are but what you have.

Ahhh, but does what you have reflect in any way who you are?
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

No.... it would be easy to acquire a lifestyle and play the part. Keep in mind it's all about short-term gratification rather than building a meaningful life. It's easy to fool people in the short-term, because the short-term is all they care to see.

Uh... I think I'll need internet... you know... for research!

and about the rioting... my bet is that they're going to be at it again next year... and I'm running short on the McD's secret sauce I looted this year

You and Hank need to be neutered. Get rid of the white van or at least spray paint it some other color.
