The eulogy should be interesting. That is, if any of his contemporaries have ever gotten out of that invisible box and can show up.

Somehow "Mime In A Box" seemed appropriate. http://www.g4tv.com/techtvvault/feat...ctflash=false&

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

If I get a little time this weekend, I will try to provide an update on the Cyburbia Death Pool standings. Just dropping this line to announce.....

I should have picked Britney Spears.

I really thought I had some sure-thing picks. I can't believe none of them have kicked the bucket yet.

    Update, October 20, 2007

Overdue for an update, here we go.....

Richmond Jake did indeed get on the board on the same weekend he is getting married. Coincidence?

    Nobody picked the following folks.....

    Deborah Kerr (Actress)
Carol Bruce ("Mama Carlson" on WKRP)
    Al Oerter (Olympic Gold Medalist)
Lois Maxwell ("Miss Moneypenny" in the Bond movies)
    Marcel Marceau ( )
Jane Wyman (Actress, Ron Ray-Gunz wife)
    Joe Zawinul (Jazz Legend)
    Alice Ghostley (Actress on Bewitched)
Rex Humbard (Televangelist.....IMO, criminal taker of money)
Alex The Parrot (Alex The Parrot)
    Bret Somers (Match Game panelist)
    Richard Quigley (CA Motorcyclist Activist)
    Teresa Brewer (Singer)

Teresa Brewer was a Toledo resident, living on Valentine Street in east Toledo. This Bear lived with a woman named Jo Ann for a period of time in the early 1970s. Jo Ann's parents lived just a few doors down from Teresa Brewer.

I was never much of a fan of Brewer. Her voice is a little too whiny for me. She was very popular in the 1950s but chucked most of that fame and fortune to raise a family.

Standings, including the newest pick underlined:

    FIRST PLACE
savemattoon Boris Yeltsin, Lady Bird Johnson
Mastiff Kitty Carlisle, Tammy Faye (Bakker) Messner
kjelsadek Lady Bird Johnson, Brooke Astor
Suburb Repairman Lady Bird Johnson, Phil Rizzuto
Bear Up North Kurt Vonnegut, Lady Bird Johnson

    SECOND PLACE
    otterpop Kurt Vonnegut
    AubieTurtle Kurt Vonnegut
    NHPlanner Lady Bird Johnson
    giff57 Lady Bird Johnson
    Chet Tammy Faye (Bakker) Messner
    mgk920 Luciano Pavarotti
    Richmond Jake Joey Bishop

Less than three months to go. Close race....looking more and more like a "dead" heat.

Man that sucks. His 'hung-over' Super Bowl I was classic Packers.

He made a lot of money starting the Chi-Chi's restaurant chain.

Why the hell was he up on his roof clearing leaves? He should have hired it done.

Not to be catty but the world would be better if every country music singer took the dirt nap. Just my opinion...
