Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
From Kelly's Heroes (1970)
Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.
From Electric Horseman (1979)
"He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?" Jeremiah 22:16
Ouch.....I hurt my aging blue eyes trying to count the numbers of b's that alphabetically honor our resident Grand Rapids Republican winter weather enthusiast.
The number of his Cyburbian contributions is stanfastic. Over the years he introduced us to his famous series Noontime Question From michaelskis. He was a great Kalamazoo-zoo tour guide for Stanfest I, and a comrade bellied up to the bar at Stanfest II. He also is a Yooper.....perhaps the most solid reason for his ability to draw a line in the sand and stay that course to fight the evil empire that surrounds us in our liberal and libertarian lives.
He is my friend and I heartily stangratulate him for a job well not done. Slackerbating has a face.....it is the face of michaelskis .
Oh well.....off to the eye doctor.....

Woo hoo! 7k
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor
Why, it seems like only yesterday you were just another annoying newbie.
Mskis must have been born to slack. If I were marooned on a desert island, I probably couldn't slack off like you do. You are clearly a catalyst for the faltering american work ethic. Your mama must be proud.
"And all this terrible change had come about because he had ceased to believe himself and had taken to believing others. " - Leo Tolstoy
Wow, having just made 2K posts, I am really a slacker when it comes to slacking. You are da man.

"The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness."
John Kenneth Galbraith
I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?
The ends can justify the means.
I could not have gotten to lucky seven without people to communicate with. I think of it this way, as a Republican, I have to post more to keep this board from going too far left. But in the end, regardless of our discussions, I still enjoy everyone's company here and would never pass up the chance to get to know people better over a cold beer. Well other than Stan... father hood has put a stop to his wild nights of drinking. Or was it the trip to Cruisers?
When people talk, we all learn.
Dan... So much for being Anonymous! I guess my identity as the Pron King is exposed!
"A long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and raises at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom. Time makes more converts than reason." - Thomas Paine Common Sense.
Clark Howard, Dave Ramsey .. they're all the same.
