Instances of property tax abatement on brownfield sites?

I am looking for a couple of examples where a municipality has completely forgiven back taxes (not just penalties and interest) on brownfield sites in order to encourage remediation and redevelopment. My Google searches have come up empty, and local colleagues don't seem to know of any...
    Thanks!

    Land Banks.

Clean title, relatively low risk, and they return properties to the tax rolls.

    Look here

The Genesee County Land Bank is the foremost authortiy on the subject. I will look for more info.
I'd be more apathetic if I weren't so lethargic.
