The economics of public investment in urban redevelopment

I am looking for statistical proof of sound economics surrounding urban redevelopment projects
and what public investments (into things like roads, utilities, parks, property assemblage) mean to increased private capitol investment, tax revenue increases, quality of life, bond ratings, etc.
I've come across a lot of literature that addresses benefits in general, but I'm looking for hard numbers to inform politicians as to why this type of investment is a good idea.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I may find this information?
    thanks.

    Contact them

My suggestion would be to contact redevelopment agencies and ask them for any statistics and data they might have on their redevelopment areas. People tend to get spoiled with the internet nowadays and think that all information is online. Sometimes the good old way of actually calling people and talking to them is better.
