    Myspace for planners

My fiance has just informed me, with utter contempt in his voice... that Cyburbia is Myspace for planners. Ha ha ha.

How about you take a gander at making an executive decision for once, huh?

Go ahead and get him to register. We'll see about this *utter contempt*.

Tell him to look at this way. It's like myspace for geeks who have trouble separating their personal and professional lives. Add to this, an excellent source for information in a rather arcane profession with a dash of dear abbey. Thrown in a dollop a group of good friends gathering around table for a meal to complain, swap war stories and tales of the interesting things that they know.

Nah, it's not myspace for planners. For one thing, the bdsm people here no longer post myspace-style photos clearly signalling ....

    Nevermind.

You're right, we need to encourage more posting photos of planners in bdsm/leather garments....as if planners needed more public image problems!
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

I spent soo much time fending off unwanted advances from all the men here that I decided to keep a lower profile and only entertain the dozen or so lovers I already had.

Oh, wait, I'm supposed to put in a winky:

Speaking of MySpace, I sent a friend request to Cyburbia weeks ago. I'm still waiting for Dan to accept.

Sounds like a great idea. Then all of us planner would have at least one designated friend - Dan.

    What's MySpace?

I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

Let's not be didactic in this profession, because that is a path to disillusion and irrelevancy.

Can't find anybody I should/want to know on it.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.

If we're the new myspace, does that mean we'll get bought out for a billion dollars?

Feh. Tom's a billionaire. I'm a planner. Responsive ... well, I'm about 90 emails behind. I am cooler, though, because Tom doesn't play curling.

90, is that all? Hey, it's tough to be in demand.

On another note, just say "NO" to glitter graphics.
