I actually just took the test on Monday and passed, but barely.
It was tough. You need to really put in the hours. I started studying in July and spent every lunch hour reading the reference guide. Then about three hours every weekend. And finally, for the last two weekends I did not leave the library.
I would recommend getting the flash cards and the Colorado Study Guide as they have a good sample exam. But before any of that be sure to read the reference guide cover to cover.
Good luck![]()
Has anyone taken any of the prep courses?
In my state, I can take all of the graphics sections in the summer or winter testing sessions. The multiple choice sections are given in the fall and spring. It is possible to get the whole exam out of the way within 6 months.
And yes, I am qualified to take all of the exams.

Where online could you look up credible LEED testing information.
Also, do any of you think it would be beneficial for me as a public sector project manager/Planner or no?

If you're working in the public sector, I'd say it's not that useful unless your city has a LEED requirement like we have in Boston. I work for a private firm, so many of our projects have LEED components, but to be honest, I haven't used the knowledge that much yet. I think it will come into play more once the system gets the more planner orientated LEED for neighborhood developments out of a pilot program- should be very soon.
Let me know if you're looking for anything specific about the test, I have some materials.
Sorry to bump an old thread, but I just registered for the Technical Review course (in May), and just dropped half my paycheck on the study materials.
Going for it!
Hi everyone, I am planning on taking the LEED exam. I am looking for a online study partner. Thanks to all.

I am planning on taking the LEED exam. I was wondering if anyone is looking for a study partner. Let me know. Thanks.
Congratulations to who ever passed it, and Good luck to who ever will take it.

After the pilot period is over, will there be an exam for LEED for Neighborhood Development? Or will you still have to take one of the other 3 exams to become LEED AP?

Meashy,
I sent you a message - let me know if youre still interested.
Add me to the list of those interested. I'm more interested in LEED-EB or something that will have relevance in an older urban community. I'm not certain that there will be numerous new buildings constructed that I would have that much influence over as a planning director, but more so improving the existing.
I will be taking the 2008 LEED NC 2.2 exam on 4/10/09. I have the reference manual from GBCI, the Flashcards from ppi2pass.com, and will be downloading the practice exams and flashcards from greenexamprep.com. I don't plan on starting until 2/10, and then will put in 2 months of intense studying. Hopefully, this will be the LAST exam I have to take before my MLA (although I would like to get the CECD exam under my belt but that's a long shot).

A question: To give the exams except from the LEED manual what else would you suggest people should study?
Probably no -

Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.
