    Employment verification

Is it alright to discuss my current employer on resumes and during job interviews even though my employer doesn't know that I am trying to leave? This seems kinda tricky, and I would really appreciate some help. Thanks!

There is a recent thread right below...Job Hunting While Employed & Relocation, it covers exacly what you are asking. Take a look, my comment to you would be the same as I wrote in that thread.

It seems you'd have to, otherwise you couldn't mention your current job at all which would be very weird.

If I'm granted an interview I usually mention how I prefer that my current employer not know that I am seeking another job. But, it is good to line up trustworthy current co-workers who can be good references.
