photos :: downtown St. Louis at sunrise (Broadband Recommended)

I took an enjoyable long-weekend road trip from Kansas City to St. Louis about a couple of weeks ago. Here are some photos from downtown STL around sunrise.

Regrets, I've had a few; But then again, too many to mention.

Beyond the beautiful buildings the one thing that stands out ot me and drives me crazy about downtown is that there are NO people. I do not think there is a single person in any of the photos. Such a pretty place and no one ever goes down there in the evenings; had the pics been taken in that area during the daytime hours, there would have been people walking all along the streets; I wish something were being done about keeping people down there after 5:00 p.m.

I'm loving these photo essays you all have been putting up. One small favor though: in the future, please note "broadband recommended", "no <56k", etc. in your thread title. We still have several people on here using dial-up and I think their poor little computer's brains might explode from all of the bandwidth.

    Thanks, and carry on!

All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."
