How I love Hong Kong (photos) (Broadband Recommended)

I spent spring break week in March 2006 in Hong Kong, exploring the city and taking photos. Here are some samplings from the roughly 600 photos I took. It is quite possibly my favorite city in the world, and I hope to return for another visit next year.

Riding down the Peak Tram, after an ascent upwards to see (or not see) the Hong Kong expanse obscured in fog:

What a city! I especially love Hong Kong's skyline.

BTW, what's with all the window A/C units? Is there no central air there?

I have not been to Hong Kong, but I have been to Beijing and Shanghai. The only real similarties between those three cities is that they all are the home of millions of Chinese people. Almost everything else about them is completely different.

    Right.

HK has been influenced by western culture because it was once a colony of Great Britian. A nice meeting point of western and eastern cultures which is different from Shanghai and Beijing. Just went to Shanghai with my family last X'mas. The city impressed me a lot in terms of infrastructure but still has a lot to catch up to be intergrated as a world city in my opionon.
