Philosophy undergrad. at Cal Poly Pomona

    Hi everyone,
My name is Rick. This Fall, 2007 I will be senior in the philosophy department at Cal Poly Pomona. I am still trying to decide whether to go to law school or get a master's degree in urban planning. I am trying to acquire new and helpful information about the planning profession.

Greeting from the Land of Lawyers (Washington, DC.)

The advice I get from every attorney I know (and that is a lot of them) is if you can imagine doing some other than law,...do that.

Most lawyers practice for 10 years and then go do something else.

Greetings from Colorado. You might try an unpaid internship in a planning office or a law office this summer just to give you a taste of one or the other.

    Hello, from Irving, TX!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011
