I've been working as a Statutory Land Use Planner, preparing planning applications in a consultancy for the last one and a half years since graduation, and I am more or less done with it (and the system). Absolutely can't stand the job!

Looking at specialising into one of the specialists areas - either regional and economic development, urban design or transport. Would anyone working in these areas be able to mention what they do in their day-to-day job?

I also must admit that what planners do in the US would be way different from what others do across the world (I'm currently working in Australia and looking to be headed back to Singapore). Still it'd be good to hear from different people what they do.

Thanks!
