Man with dead skunk hanging from car charged with DUI

WAYNESBORO, VA (WWBT) - A witness spotted a Chevy strike a guardrail on I-64 Sunday afternoon, then keep going, according to Waynesboro Police.
When officers caught up with the driver, they say it was giving off the all-too pungent scent of a skunk. The dead animal was hanging from the back of the vehicle in a plastic bag.
But the rotten rodent couldn't mask another strong smell: alcohol.
Police say 40-year-old Efrain Alvarez's blood alcohol content was .15. He's now charged with DUI.

Holland Township Fire investigators said the fire, which displaced 29 families, possibly came from an unattended torch that a man had been using. They ruled the blaze accidental. Police said the resident had been using a propane torch to remove fur from a squirrel carcass to prepare a meal.
