New to the forum, thinking about planning

Just saying hi... still poking around on this site.

I have a BA in Sociology, I miss school (or hate work... maybe both), and I'm thinking about a Master's in Planning/Community Development. Thoughts?

I'm a NorCal native as well... Bay Area kid somehow finding herself in the heart of Sacramento one year out of school about to go out of her mind!

I think I'm attracted to the theoretical side of planning and redevelopment... how does that tie into the traditional job market?

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

Good you have interest in this field. There are new towns to be developed and cities that need rehab. Just pursue your plans

Greetings from Colorado. You might try shadowing a local planner for a day or two, go to some Planning Commission hearings or doing a non-paid part-time internship before you quit your job and go back to school. Best of luck.
