I got an opportunity to intern at NACo (National Association of Counties) during the next semester. To me, this is totally unfamiliar aspect of urban planning. Most urban planning jobs are local or regional in scope whereas NACo is a national association. So I wouldn't expect to do much hands-on urban planning works but deal with broadly-based issues associated with counties. Would this internship be helpful in getting a full time position in the future? Has anybody gone through this?
