Come one, come all. It's 10.35am here in the UK, you must all be in roughly the same time zone as me, get registered and lets have some bloody banter. Its hours yet til the US lot wake up and pull their sorry carcasses into work, give me someone to talk to to speed along my Friday morning!

69 lurkers now. I hope the missing 29 are OK

It's waaay too early for 'bloody banter'.

But you bring up a good point HFH why are there so many lurkers? There's no need to be. People reading this should register now - it's easy and once they become a member of the community they can share their knowlege of planning with the rest of this lot. And yes, even participate in the bloody banter that goes around.

So how's Wolverhampton doing this season?
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

FYI - most of the "lurkers" are probably googlebots, etc.

p.s. English league soccer starts in August.

Wolverhampton? Not been for a few years, I got a 'warm' welcome from the locals last time... I had the temerity to support a different soccer team and the downright rudeness to come and see my team play Wolverhampton Wanderers...

    We thrashed them 3-0

I also witnessed a fantastic tramp fight on the previous visit to that.

Maister - on a similar theme, I've always wanted to know what happened on 2005-04-14 at 08:01 PM to warrant the record number of visitors to the site (580).

A particularly contentious piece of Planning legislation was published perhaps?!

As Tranplanner said, about a quarter to a third will be search engine bots. Many others landed on the Forums because of Google searches for non-planning related terms. Here's the latest search hits: many planning related, some not.

Cyburbia is in the top 10 Google results for a lot of unrelated but common searches, like "mcdonalds coffee", "nyc fireworks" and "donk pics" (probably looking for 1970s cars, not our donk).

FWIW, on weekdays Cyburbia traffic peaks between 1600 to 1800 GMT, with another bump around 2300 to 2400 GMT.

Our agency web site gets a lot of hits whenever we review text to control sexually oriented businesses in one of our townships.

    Oops

Sorry, I thought this thread was about the 98 LAKERS team with Shaq, Kobe and the like. Thought there was actually a fellow Cyburbian that was interested in a real sport like basketball.
Who's gonna re-invent the wheel today?
