With their polar bears, snow snakes, ice floats for the elderly, and rationed soclialized deathcare, I bet the mortality rate in Commienada is nearly 100%!

I've heard the same. It seems that everyone in the entire country who's ever been born eventually dies!
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

Here on the Panhandle, it's people swimming in the Gulf when double red flags are flying at the beach: rip-currents.

The last few years... almost every hit and run, cop run over, mass murder by motor vehicle... has law enforcement looking for illegals. More so in Central FL than up here in the panhandle, but we have our share.

    Flooding
    Lighting strikes
Exploding houses in the winter. There's at least two house explosions every winter. How do people do that?

Around here people get their feet caught between river rocks and drown.

I forgot the other one here during spring break: balcony falls.
