    Southern California contacts

Yeah, I'm tryin to meet planning professionals in Southern California, San Diego area. Right now I'm in Virginia and desperately want to move out of the DC area. I'm a newbie to the Planning world, but feel my experience as an environmental consultant and most recently at Virginia Department of Transportation has given me a good professional base. Anyways, anyone have any ideas of how to move cross country for someone with limited experience, but tons of potential????

If you want to stay in environmental work, try their branch, the Association of Environmental Professionals website and see if they have a local socal chapter. In addition, you can try networking at the Cal APA conference at the end of september in San Jose or checking out the Cal APA website for the local sections down there (LA section, Orange, and SD). Finally, if you do move to our great state, remember, that water your drinking is purely northern california goodness
