Well, almost all the RB's are gone! I wonder who has the best backfield? Hmmm...
Larry Johnson / Willie Parker / Travis Henry / Jerious Norwood
That's pretty strong!

Damn you Tiki Barber - you've ruined me!!!!
Yeah, Mastiff's had a good RB stable the last few years....but how many titles did that lead to????![]()

Hey Mastiff! Shut up!
You know, I couldn't even find Norwood on my list of projected running backs... oh wait... the bottom.
You get all squeezed up inside/Like the days were carved in stone/You get all wired up inside/And it's bad to be alone

One... In '03. But I'm in contention every year!
Let's see... 6th... 10th... 9th... 4th... and 7th. It's tough being a Kodiak!
Might want to check again. He was going to be a decent #3 RB before Dunn had surgery on his spine!
And Ahman Green was a great pick, by the way... in 2003!
Oh, I don't know... QB is overrated after Peyton.
Are you thinking Vince is going to take you to the promised land?![]()

Willie parker is hurt, sitting out for a while....
Still some good WR's out there and a whole gob of QB's.
Since there's so many TE's left, I'm willing to trade Shockey and a future pick for someone decent. Any interest??? Anyone........
PS - When's the timer getting moved up??
Who's gonna re-invent the wheel today?
You'll see lots of "hurt" players right about now. I wouldn't read much into any top player with something keeping them out of the early pre-season games. (That's a tip!) Mosss and Owens both have hammy issues right now, too...
Still lots of very good WR's. Plankton just grabbed a good one. I just know how hard it is to fill the RB spot, so I do it first. With the exception of Steve Smith. With his favorite QB back, he was too good to pass up. We're down to about six or seven playable backs, about the same with QB's...
Mid-draft trades are tough. Especially for a TE... you never know who's going to end up being second behind "that guy in San Diego". And don't worry too much about the clock, there's weeks before the season starts.

D'oh! How sick am I to be drafting right after you for, what, three straight seasons now!!?!! And, no snake, to boot. I knew Smith would be gone at #8 but it pains me to no end that YOU got him. I have even more incentive now to beat you, my fellow doug fir forest dweller (technically, I'm in a sitka spruce forest but I certainly remember the days of hiking through massive doug fir forests primarily in Douglas County). I sure do miss the rivers of southern Oregon. Are they awesome or what. Have you spent much time on the North Umpqua and/or Steamboat Creek? Unbelievable stuff.
Back on topic, I appreciate the banter about Mastiff's "solid" RB corp...(by the way, thanks Mastiff, for giving me props on my Roy Williams pick -- it was a real toss up between him and Javon; both #1 WR's -- maybe even a nice consolation prize for losing Steve Smith). I lost T.O. and Holt, too. Oh well, I could not bear to give up on Bush at this stage in his career and our league seems to give lots of points to the QB position (one that I've typically filled in the past with the likes of Trent Green in the 9th round or so) so I hung onto Brees, too. I've gotta win one of these years and I'm planning on riding the Purdue/USC connection all the way to the top (or at least the top 4)Oh, I see Frank Gore just busted up his hand. How dreamy.

Holy crap people, we're going to be drafting into November at this rate. Even those losers in the Sucky South are drafting faster than us
If you're not able to log on to Cyburbia regularly during the day, how about supplying NH or mastiff with a list of picks?

Relax, Tran... This is how it goes every year. I think next week we could easily go to 3 hours, but we still have quite a while. It's when people quit picking in the late rounds we have to speed it up.
This is everyones favorite time of the draft!
And Plankton, if you're picking after me, it means you finished ahead of me! I'll be happy to pick last any ol' year!![]()

Jerious Norwood is an awesome pick. Petrino runs the ball. Alot. i wouldnt be surprised if he works in the #1 role.
Okay, that last round was worse than processing a Measure 37 claim...
First off, I could not log onto the darn site all day. I figured everyone was having the same problem because I could get onto APA, Planetizen and other sites but not the Burb for some (insert conspiracy theory here) reason. Anyhoo, I finally get on this afternoon only to see that I had been clobbered with the Viking! D'oh.
Hines Ward was a great pick, Carnell Williams was a good value pick, too. But, Mastiff taking Calvin Johnson...you are killing me. I was going to take him unless Caddy or Hines were still on the board. But, oh no, you snatch him up and then compare him to Anquan to boot -- the nerve!! I am a bit concerned about Roy's health and Calvin was gonna be my fail safe. I figured Mastiff had his eye on him, too, since Kitna is clearly your guy (nice call on Jon by the way -- he'll produce monster numbers again) but I figured I'd get him regardless. Guess that theory's out the window. What the he!! am I supposed to do now, draft freakin' Furry!! Ahhhh!!! Oh, and the real topper, Reggie Brown went two picks after mine. Reggie's a nice player and would have made a nice #3 WR.....for me, not for last year's league champ. Ugh ugh ugh. Okay, that's the end of my whine-filled rant. I'll just take my Marion Barber and move on...
I can't wait for the season to unleash some of this frustration on y'all!![]()

Kitna will be fine if he cuts down on the INTs...
Does everyone agree we should go to two hour picks next round?

2 hrs is fine starting round 6 for me.

I see you folks jumped all OVER me going Viking!
However, since I was going with D anyway, it didn't matter!![]()

Donk!!!!!
Grabbed the one kicker I would have spent a 7th round pick on.
Well, now I may wait a couple rounds....

Still solid - and starting - RB's out there to get (Fred Taylor, Lendale White, DeShawn Foster, etc.) ...some decent WR's too.
QB's are thin though......unless you like Rex Grossman
