If you mean not accredited by APA, the only consequence I'm aware of is that you have to work one more year before you're eligible to take the AICP exam.
What do you mean I can't plan? My SimCity has 200,000 people with a 99% happiness rating!

I am not a SDSU student, but my program is not accredited as well. I know if you attend a non-accredited school you have to wait another year to take the AICP exam.
I don't think attending a non-accredited school would hurt your job chances, but I am only speaking from my experiences, but you would be well served to do some research and see where grads are working as YMMV.
