I'm going to second this! If you are truly having this much difficulty filling out the application, maybe the lesson you should learn is that you are the type of person the application is trying to "weed out."

I know a lot of people bash AICP for being a bit crazy on the review of applications, but I would rather have it be a difficult task than simply allow everyone to become a certified planner. I've heard rumors that the Canadian system (haven't verified this) requires that a certified planner recommend that you be able to take the test, and you have to complete an in person interview with the person who recommended you present. I think LEED is probably going through this same issue right now and that's why they have revamped their process.
Much work remains to be done before we can announce our total failure to make any progress.

    Request for copy of application

Hi All.. I'm interested in pursuing my AICP certification, but I'm concerned about the application.. Is someone willing to share their successful application.. If so, please email it to me.

    Thanks,

Who believes the above first time poster has read through this thread before they asked ?

Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

I am currently workin on my application-criteria 1 (Apply a planning process appropriate to the situation) section A (Plan making and implementation). Criteria 1 has 3 sections (A,B and C). As per my understanding each of those 3 sections should have 250-500 words-meaning all in total would be 750-1500 words. I am writing section A as a essey. Is thet right or I should go by listed bullets and repons to every single bullet? Thanks.

I appologize for my grammer mistakes, I am in rush......

I had several job positions in my career so if I would like to include each of them in let's say my criteria 1. section A should any of them cosist of 250-500 words?

you have a tough time following directions. Why would you list all of them. Just describe your experience in 250-500. End of story. Sheesh.

I kind of like this response to any future application question postings.

    Help with Narrative

I was hoping that I could view someone's application (edited of course!) to see if I am formatting my responses correctly. I don't want to have to wait six months to do this all over again for something small like formatting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Search previous threads. Read the directions carefully on the APA website and hope for the best. Focus on what they are specifically asking for.

"M&Ms. I ran out of paprika."

Awesome! Another one, one post and asking for someone's AICP application. Instead of asking to copy someone's, why not solicit help from the experienced here? Peer review to see where you could beef up your app.

Or, get your post count into the triple digits and try asking again!

I think it's true that this thread has long since run it's intended course, and has become a magnet for drive-bys.
