Hello from sunny, South Carolina. was directed to this site from a lesser quality board by one of your members (thanks Michaelskis!), and this looks like a pretty nice site.

I'm a mechanical engineering, prepping for the PE this fall, but my dad is a Civil engineer, so I used to love playing build-a-town in the sand pile. Architecture and the life of cities, and buildings have always fascinated me, but I was more interested in designing the moving stuff.

Anyway, hope I can contribte something worthwhile.

Those on all sides of the political spectrum should feel welcome here, though. Minority opinions (excepting obvious trolling, from either side of the ideological spectrum) must not be stifled. Diversity of opinion is a Good Thing.

hmmm... could be. It stands to reason that the quality of one's product would decline when you put more time and effort in draping it in flags of the 19th Century as you do cooking it.
