I'm a student at UCSC primed up with the Dual Degree Program to Berkeley. Basically I get two degrees (Psychology and Civil Engineering). I just like the two subjects and my random school, UCSC, decided to send me a random mail post detailing their program, my sister's the one that filed my paperwork. . . Kind of a strange, High School, but anyway's I discovered Urban Planning watching an episode of CSI : Las Vegas, Fuzzy's Death. I've been doing activism-like activities at UCSC and figured on taking my random degree into law-school, fight for the people kind of thing. But I always liked creating things, recently my thing is really useful light displays using LED arrays. Spent hours with an X-acto and foam board to make something cool. Randomness aside, my two degree's now seem perfect for this profession. I took a recent class on "Feelings and Emotions" a psychology class and I learned that EQ (Emotional Intelligence) is more important the regular IQ. Go figure why engineers are so. . . ANYWAY. I can see using the Psych portion of my degree much more, but I would definitely like to work on my own personal projects sometime. My goal is to work for San Diego, then branch off and make a Disney:Brazil. I am studying the effects buildings have on people and at the same time realizing its all about the people around you as opposed to a static object, but I remember someone saying "Nothing like a great facility to really get you hyped." Something when we were discussing whether or not going to the 'new' high school. But one thing is for certain, when my old school was old and decrepit, people would bitch about it non-stop so there has to be some truths.
ANyway GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU!
