I am looking for some suggestions on the Thesis topic in Environmental planning.
My initial thoughts
1) CDM adoptation by Muncipalities.
2) Waste solid management.
3) Waste water management.
But my professor asked me to come up with few more topic ideas..if any one can sugguest few i really apprecaite it.

Have you thought of using GIS/Remote Sensing application for your thesis ? Its also a good option !
FAWAD -> Using GIS/Remote Sensing application for thesis is all subjective to the Topic i choose..first i am not 100% sure on it....i am still hoping for some pointers and good suggestions from few.

I would also add the cost of regulations - is it cheaper just to buy that wetland?
your list needs to be refined a little - as in what about solid waste management? for example, running with that topic, what if restaurants composted? how much would that remove from the waste stream?

Develop a muncipal environmental accounting system for monitoring change over time in urban environmental management.
I think stormwater management is huge hot topic too.. .especially retrofitting older neighborhoods.
may be think of different stake holders participating in solid and liquid waste management.

I'm writing my MLA thesis right now too. All I can say is, focus on a specific thing within a bigger topic. I started with a more inductive form of research myself and its given me a lot of headaches. 6 months in and I finally have a question. So you really have to be interested in it to keep you going.
