    Experience with circular lots?

I have an earlier post, in regard to adverse possesion.
Has anyone dealt with circular lots?
They are laid out, with pie shaped areas, that are owned by the Home Owners Association. IE commons grounds.
Now, this is in Oregon, and blackberry bushes thrive, as does grass, when the Douglas firs were removed.
So, the area changes, gets more light, lots of rain, and we get a fire hazard, at least in summer.
There is one gentleman on the pay roll, who takes care of the entire area, trimming and such.
At first this looked like a neat place to live. Now, I'm not that sure.
A large section of our home, is built in to the common grounds, reasoning was to better utilize the view. OK, but now someone wants to cut a drive up that hill, and wants the sprinklers removed, which were part of my price in the cost of the home!!! GRRRRR!! As was the landscaping
Why would a builder/developer slide our house northeast? Not to allow better view, but to squeeze another 80' circle in on the other side of us!
Yes, I have contacted a lawyer, but I also have a daughter in College, so this does suck.

Here is a thread asking the question: Circular lots: good or bad?

It may have some information that will help you.
I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

    Thanks Mendelman

I am knee deep in mud now, so maybe the construction group will hold off until spring. Special rules take effect when the rains come, and the ground is more than 20 degrees steep.
Special Salmon man hole covers, wash those tires, dam the drains, nothing goes down stream.
I have a good lawyer, and hopefully i can move home soon.
Had enough rain for 11 years, give me some snow?
lol, never thought I'd say that again.
You should see some of these huge firs come down. The ground gets sloppy wet, and the tops are full of snow, in the wind, they look like giant Q-tips.
    whack!

    Home Owner associations

What good does a HOA do for the neighborhood?
    Do they have any teeth?
I own places here in oregon, and retirement spot in wyoming. I see big vioations in both states, and notta done to correct them?
If your neighbor builds a fence, and the CCrs say noway,, can i rip it down, and throttle him?
    I think not.

    Let me ask you this

Ok, Looking at the surveyors map, as soon as you are off my front porch, you are now walking on "commons ground. The lamp post is well out there, on "their property. Yet, since there are no street lights, they regularly send notes around to have these operatable. Some need new photo eyes. They even suggested changing them. Unless you have elctrical knowledge, i would never advise someone to take on a task such as that. Now the next thing. The main sprinkler box, is way off into commons area. Are they responsible for maintaining that as well?
What about the rest of the sprinkler lines?
The side of the house, where this new guy wants to cut up the hill, is where my heat pump sits on a thin concrete pad. The slope there is easily 20 degrees. what if he messes up the placement of that, or worse, changes the drainage of the hill? There is a french drain right down to the sidewalk, with an undercurb PVC drain pipe?
Lawyer wants to talk this week, I suspect we'll sue. But with my daughter fresh into college, this is killing me?
    Any suggestions?
