Not sure if this will help you, but I used to work in West Palm Beach, FL and just got word that the Housing Authority there received approval from HUD to demolish about 13 units in a public housing complex built back in the 40's, to make way for new units, office, and retail. Their goal is to eventually redevelop the entire complex into a mixed-income/mixed-use development, but not sure how that will transpire..Here's 2 links to articles about it, as well as, their website:
