An article in the Dallas Morning News this past Sunday describes how local men named Tony Romo are dealing with the special attention others give them, now that the starting quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys has made it a household name. Their girlfriends said they brag about dating "Tony Romo" to people they meet.

A few years ago during the Pistons-Lakers NBA finals, I had a customer named Ben Wallace, same name as the Pistons star, but very different appearance.

What people have you known that shared a name with a famous or infamous person? Did you joke about it? Did they like the jokes, or not appreciate the association?

My son was in the NICU with Deion Sanders. Since we had not yet named my son, we were jokingly calling him Tiger.

The NICU nurses thought it was amusing to have Deion Sanders and 'Tiger' Woods in side-by-side incubators.

My son was five weeks premature, but a solid five pounds. Deion looked as though he might have been 10 or more weeks preemie -- he was really, really tiny. I often wonder what happened to him.
