    Waaaaaay too much this weekend.

Saturday: oil painting, get some sun, gym, groceries, then chores.
Sunday: most of the day in the office working on an EA. Nothing like spending a sunny weekend researching hazardous waste sites!!!

Today: mowed the yards. ZG took me to lunch (pizza at Red Elephant). Took her shopping and she bought some hot looking jeggings. Got a contusion on my finger. Ironed a new shirt for Monday's ALJ hearing (we're being sued for our new comp plan). Drinking .
Sunday: 8:45 tee time. Afternoon, drinking and reviewing my questions for Monday's testimony.

Still swamped with work through at least early October, but not complaining.

    Friday-Saturday: more work on EA
Sunday: chill by the pool (taking my Labor Day on Sunday)
Monday (from home or work?): more work on EA. Professional Development Report Powerpoint for Fall Conference.

Friday: Ya'll aren't going to believe this.....but I'm staying in the office until the bitter end. (Yes, I'm ashamed.) Then ZG and I are headed back downtown for the First Friday Fest.
Saturday: Do some yard work, maybe wash my car, and hang by the pool the rest of the day. We're going to the beach.
Sunday: Golf with an 8:45 tee time. Then it's out to the pool with a book and .
    Monday (Labor Day): See Sunday.

Saturday-hang out at home and clean, bake beer-cheese bread for party in the evening.
Sunday-church or no church depending on when said party ends.
    Monday-absolutely f*ing nothing.

This evening: ZG went out for dinner. Nothing fancy; pizza at Red Elephant.
Saturday: ZG and her son are leaving town which allows me to spend some quality time au natural by the pool with some . Probably do some yard work before hitting the pool deck.
Sunday: Early golf tee time then it's a toss up between the NFL games or more pool side time. It will depend on the weather conditions.

Getting up at fricking 4:30 a.m. to make the flight to Atlanta (damn Delta) to make the flight to Tucson, where, hopefully, I'll have 5 nights to relax and soak in the s.w. culture and eat like a pig.

Friday-Sunday: I am working on a massive 5 hour powerpoint for an AICP Exam workshop, preparing two smaller presentations (design work on a streetscape plan, chapter professional development report), and figuring out my APA committee's budget (grrrrrr). Of course, that doesn't even include my billable work, but I'm not complaining. Hopefully, my work load should lighten up a little by mid October

I was one of 15 winners of a Fox Sports Detroit/National Coney Island Tailgaters contest. So the wife and I are heading to the D on Saturday for a free tailgate party and then to two free tickets to the Tigers' game.

Too bad the Twins have already clinched the Division.

We'll spend the night downtown then probably hit up Greektown for food before heading back to GR.

Sadly, not much greek left in Greektown. The Casino brought in a different clientele so many of the greek places changed over (Five Guys Hamburgers and Coldstone). Pegasus is still good for higher end, and for the low-end I recommend the Golden Fleece, though it is not for everyone (food served on wax paper in plastic baskets).

Yeah, I was surprised when I was down there for Opening Day back in April. When New Hellas (my Greek in-laws preferred spot) closed, I knew it was all down hill from there. My wife still has many memories from Greektown as a kid, so we still try to get back from time to time.

Friday - taxi kids - one to party, one to mall.

Saturday - some kind of fair in town, then celebrate youngest son's birthday.

Sunday - Sea Cadet open house. This is new to us, but will become routine to oldest son.

In DC for the APA leadership meetings . . .as a proxy. Meeting up with a buddy from kindergarten. We will discuss if Miss Lafollette was really hot or was it just teacher worship.

Hellas was an all-time lunch favorite. You could get a very nice chicken meal for about six bucks including drink! Now there is a high dollar BBQ where another place was.

    Weekend With The Bear

Sad Bear, this Friday PM.....sad, sad, sad.....I had to give my tickets to the University of Michigan football game on Saturday to a friend at the workplace. Something came up and we cannot go cheer on......tough one, because my school was Bowling Green State University ("Ziggy ziggy zoom ba" ) but the big school I follow is Meeeeshigan.

On a nice note, you should have seen the smile on my friend Cindy's face when I gave her the ducats. She was almost in tears. I felt good.

Friday PM - Playing on the PC, maybe work on some De Noc stats.
Saturday AM - Cooler weather (finally, because it was 93F yesterday, yuck).
Saturday AM - Work in the garage, doing some general putzing.
Saturday Noon - I will get to see part of the football game on the tube.
Saturday PM - Grilling out, drink some beers, sit by the backyard fire pit.
Sunday - Work on De Noc and watch olde movies. (Steelers on radio, too.)
    Monday - Vacation day! Yahoo!

Y'all have a nice and safe weekend.

We would have had a nice day at the beach if someone hadn't misread the overcast skies early this morning.

We went shopping instead and I got a hot top and someone got golf shoes and we had a nice lunch at a gulf-side bar and graill, watching people smarter about the weather than us cavorting on the beach. Sigh...

Tomorrow someone might misread the weather again and go golfing in his new shoes in a thunderstorm.

    Warm October Weekend

Gonna be an exceptionally warm early October weekend in the lower Great Lakes. We are expecting temps near 80F on Saturday and Sunday, with a south breeze. Normal temp for NW Ohio at this time of the year is about 66F.

    This Bear's plans.....

Friday PM - Grilling, drinking Rolling Rocks by the fire pit.
Saturday AM - Out in the garage, doing the usual "putz dance".
Saturday AM - I have an olde couch to take to the landfill. Might do that AM Sat.
Saturday Afternoon - College Football, baby! Go Blue!
Saturday PM - Trying to talk Katie into a Loma Linda adventure.
Sunday AM - Watch political talk shows as the R's try to explain their lies.
Sunday AM - Watch political talk shows as the D's try to explain their lies.
Sunday - Work on De Noc, watch olde movies.

Only working a half day on Monday (morning).

Y'all have a super weekend. (Note to Hink: Go Hoosiers!)
