After working exclusively in local government plannnng for nearly 10 years, I am considering applying for a position with a Regional Council of Governments "COG" agency. As an example, it is very similar to SCAG (Southern California Asscociation of Governments).
Can anyone give me some insight as to the differences? Are we talkng apple and oranges here or can someone with a Planning and Development background with some management experience in City government make this transition?
Any and all wisdom is appreciated. Thank you.
