Unified development codes: How to label subsections?

This is probably a "Well Duh" question. How have you handled the numbering/lettering of the different sections?
Such as Section A-Zoning Code, Section B-Subdivision Regulations, Section C Flood Plain, etc. Further, how have you handled the numbering in each section?
When did I go from Luke Skywalker to Obi-Wan Kenobi?

    Try this again:
    Chap 1 - General Provisions
    Chap 2 - Zoning
Chap 3 - Provisions applying to Land Use Regs
    Chap 4 - Infrastructure
    Chap 5 - Site Development
    Chap 6 - Critical areas
Chap 7 - Site plan and review
Chap 8 - Special review Use
    Chap 9 - Subdivision
    Chap 10 - PUD
    Chap 11 - New Community (1041)
    Chap 12 - Definitions

    veteran development code writer says...

I find number the chapters works best and the subsections...for example

    Chapter 2 Zoning

    Section 2.01
    Residential

    -Low Densitiy 2.01.01
    -Medium Density 2.01.02
    -High Density 2.01.03

You ge the point...also check municode to see how neighboring cities and counties have numbered, may help you find a good system.
