    CEQA LOS alternative measurements

    Hello,

I'm researching on CEQA Guidelines to see what they say on LOS and the flexibility to use alternative measures of transportation impacts, such as vehicle miles traveled (VMT), as well as analysis of impacts on other transportation modes [i.e. bike, transit].

So far I'm coming up with null. Can someone opine on this topic and/or point me in the direction where I can obtain such info? Thanks!

I am not sure what the CEQA stands for, but there has been a wide body of literature produced about the CMAQ program which may be beneficial. You might also look at Travel Demand Management (or TDM).

Then again I may be being too simplistic as I assume this may be a state planning guideline and Michigan may call it something else.

Your best bet is to probably consult an ITE manual and see how many trips can be deducted based on land uses, alternative transportation, etc.
Men do dumb $hit... it is what they do to correct the problem that counts.
