What would be involved in getting the zoning for a townhouse complex changed from a flood zone area?
That's a pretty broad question. Do you want to build a townhouse on a property that is presently zoned flood plain? Is the townhome existing and you want it removed from the flood plain? Do you know whether it is floodway or floodway fringe (taken together, they form the 'flood plain')? Is it a FIRM flood plain, or locally designated? One percent flood (the so-called Hundred Year Flood Plain) or some other?
Without more info along these lines, it would be hard to give you a reliable (if generic) answer. (Each community has it's own rules, policies, and procedures, so no matter what we post here, CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL PLANNING OFFICE).
